Harborside MOPS

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a dynamic program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS is a relevant and caring network, making moms better moms through trusted resources and relationships.

MOPPETS

Our MOPPETS program provides care for children ages birth through kindergarten. While mothers attend the MOPS meeting, the children enjoy a program designed to meet their needs. The children are divided into age groups and are involved in planned activities that provide social growth and spiritual enrichment. Games, stories, crafts, and play enhance their physical and creative development.

MOPPETS BENEFITS

Spiritual growth through Bible stories and values relevant to their lives.

Physical, emotional, and creative development through crafts, games, snacks, and songs.

Children 0-2 will be cared for in nursery classes divided according to teacher-child ratio and developmental levels. Two to five year olds will participate in storytelling, crafts, music, snack time, outdoor and indoor free play.

MOPPETS GUIDELINES

Please help us provide a wonderful experience for your children by adhering to the following guidelines:

Make reservations for your children at least 48 hours in advance so that we can provide appropriate staffing for each classroom. Register here.

Bring a change of clothes for your children (including socks) and at least three diapers if your child is not potty trained.

Label all items (including bottles and cups) with child's name.

We operate a well-baby Nursery. For the protection of all the children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our Nursery a healthy place for all.

Do you remember those days as a young parent? Do you remember the sleepless nights? Did you need help? Did you need someone to occasionally care for your children so you could get a break?

Please... We have so many moms in MOPS at Harborside that desperately need that break that our MOPPETS childcare program is overflowing! We have great lead teachers with wonderful lesson plans, and all we need is more adults to help! There are opportunities to help with infants; 2 year olds; 3 year olds or 4-5 year olds.

WHAT YOU GET: The fun of playing with young children; the satisfaction of knowing how very much you are helping young mommies; lots of fabulous thank-you gifts; and a great pension plan in Heaven!
